I’ve owned Super Mario 3D Land since it came out, but I only managed to polish off my full-clear last night. This is a big game. There are eight worlds, with six levels in each world. Each of these levels has three hidden widgets to find, some number of which are required to open up [...]
This game is awesome. It is about punching monsters until they explode into piles of loot. You do that 6,000 times, then you win, then you start over on a harder difficulty. Also one of the characters can summon a giant demon bullfrog that eats bad guys.
It also has the best achievements:
I wasn’t going to say anything about Super RMN Bros. 3 on my blog, because the game sucks and their response to criticism has not changed since Super RMN Bros. 2, but I recieved an interesting new perspective on the situation that I feel is worth mentioning. So here I am mentioning it.
Really, this [...]
There were no good videogames this month, so I put my gaming budget towards a copy of the Mouse Guard Roleplaying Game Boxed Set. It was an interesting purchase. I love the setting of Mouse Guard and hope it sticks around long enough to take up a whole shelf in my house. And I loved [...]
Man, I can think of two things Marquis Elmdore can suck — and they’re both in my scrotum. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

First I decided to replay Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, because hey, why not?
Then I decided to try a challenge run, because my previous playthrough left me with a great respect for the game, and I was confident I was better equipped to solve my way through it.
Then I decided to [...]
Wizards of the Coast has stated that the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons will appeal to fans of all four previous editions. I am of the opinion that this claim is absolutely ridiculous on its face. The shift from second edition to third was so violent that my gaming group rejected it for several [...]
First I’m going to describe in detail why I really thought I was going to be able to complete Dragon Warrior III this time. I was able to pinpoint exactly what changes the series had undergone between the earliest games and this one that made playing it an enjoyable experience, rather than a vomit-in-your-mouth experience.
