Night shift.

I can already tell I’m going to love working nights at the office. It’s nice and quiet, nothing but empty hours I can fill with books or DS games. I need to invest in one of those portable DVD players.

I’ve been using this week to re-read my Chuck Palahniuk collection, starting last weekend with Choke, then moving on to Invisible Monsters and Rant the past few days. Last night I cracked the first fifty pages of Haunted.

This Saturday I start my shift at 11 instead of 5, meaning it will be nothing but peace and solitude the entire shift. I’m already sorting through my backlog of DS games to help fill the time. I’ve already checked for insecure wireless hotspots. There aren’t any, which means there’s no reason to bring in the laptop. But maybe that’s a good thing. Lacking the ability to fill up all that empty time with internet junkie-ism, maybe I’ll actually get something productive done.
