Not content to just be playing one Breath of Fire game, I started a new run in Dragon Quarter this morning. (Technically I started two runs, when I screwed something up in the first dungeon and had to SOL:Restart almost immediately. Go me!) This game is pretty good, but it has some rather… questionable character design, not the least of which are Lin’s unsettling gravity-defying breasts:

Well, at least she wears pants. Or at least, panties and giant socks with pants legs attached to them…Who am I kidding? Her design is weird now that I think about it.
Still, it interests me how the Woren tribe’s changed over the games. It’s gone from a staff-wielding girl with no common decency to wear any underwear to a wisecracking thief who’s also a weretiger to…some guy in some game I didn’t play…and then to Lin’s more human-ish design. The feline traits definitely decrease in the later designs; Lin could probably pass for a more adult anime catgirl if not for that stupid headgear she wears.
Meh, I liked Rei the best as far as overgrown BoF feline designs go.
On an unrelated note, are you going to be doing Survivor write-ups this season? Because this season is already AMAZING.
